We know that you have tons of questions, so we've tried our best to answer them all here for you! If you can't find the information you're looking for, feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns that you may have. We appreciate you being here for us on our wedding day, so we will do our best to be here for you as well!

What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

 

We'd love to see out family and friends get dressed up for our big day. Ladies can weatea-length or midi formal dresses. Gentleman can wear a suit & tie.​​​

What will the weather be like this time of year?

 

Late June in Lexington varies, but it is typically around the mid to high seventies.  We recommend checking the forecast for Lexington before the wedding, and bringing a jacket or umbrella accordingly!

Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

 

The ceremony and dancing will take place under a pavilion, cocktail hour will take place outdoors, and the reception will take place indoors.​​

​

What happens after the ceremony?

​

After the ceremony, the wedding party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests should head straight to the patio area, where our caterers will be serving complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beverages.

Does your wedding have a theme?

 

Yes! Our wedding is is themed with a color palette of soft blues, sage and olive greens, and light ivory tones. Expect to see lots of greenery, blue accents, and linens.​

​

 

What should I do if I can’t make it?

 

You will be missed! If you are unable to attend our wedding please indicate your regrets on our RSVP so we can plan accordingly.

What time should I arrive?

 

We recommend that you plan to arrive prior to the start of the ceremony at 5:00, to ensure everyone is seated by the scheduled ceremony time, and so that the ceremony and reception can stay on schedule!

Where should guests park? Is parking free?

 

Parking is free at our wedding venue! Upon your arrival, you will find yourself in a very large parking lot. Once you find a spot, please make your way to the ceremony location!

Are kids welcome?

 

While we love your little ones, our wedding is going to be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. Take this opportunity to have a well deserved date night with your partner! We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time so that everyone can celebrate with us!

Can I bring a date?

 

Due to limited space, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation. If you received a plus one they will appear under your name when you RSVP. Thank you for understanding!

Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

 

We have rooms blocked at the Country Inn & Suites in Lexington, VA. If you plan to stay, please be sure to book your room as soon as possible to ensure your spot is reserved!

When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail a RSVP or can I do it online?

 

Our RSVP deadline is May 4th. We've tried to keep it easy for everyone, and are requesting that guests RSVP online here!

Can I take pictures?

 

We are having an "unplugged ceremony" (no phones or cameras). The greatest gift you can give us is being fully present as we say "I do". We have hired a professional to capture this moment for us and we promise to share the photos as soon as we receive them. After the ceremony, feel free to take as many photos and videos as you'd like!
